Cloud Architect / Solution Architect

Location - Washington, D.C Skills:

• Minimum of 15+ years overall IT industry experience
• Minimum of 5+ years in a solution or technical architect role using service and hosting solutions such as private/public, PaaS and SaaS platforms
• Experience in architecture and design of Microsoft-centric solutions based on industry standards using (Azure) PaaS and SaaS capabilities
• Instigating, analyzing and evaluating various alternatives and arriving at the best technology solution to solve specific business problems
• Knowledge of cloud security controls including tenant isolation, encryption at rest, encryption in transit, key management, vulnerability assessments, application firewalls, SIEM, etc.
• Managed end-to-end project lifecycle in solution architect capacity
• Experience in working closely with Business stake holders and Enterprise architects to gain a complete sense of stakeholder expectations and limitations
• Significant experience in presenting ideas, products, concept papers to varied audiences
• Experience in preparing reports and presentations, as well as demonstrations, to keep the client informed about issues that arise during design and development phase
• Can adopt and relate new technologies to set of problems being faced
• Experience with multi-geography, multi-tier service design and management
• Extensive experience in financial management, solution plan development and project cost estimation
• Providing technical direction, oversight of technical design during delivery phase
• Solid business acumen, management, and communication skills
• Leadership capability and proven ability to manage difficult stakeholders
• Experience supporting peer teams and their responsibilities, such as operations, engineering, info-security
• Strong Technical and Leadership skills
• Azure Certified Preferred
