Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Cyber Security Analyst to join a team providing support services to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. The Cyber Security Analyst will be responsible for ensuring a secure, compliant, effective, and efficient cloud architecture is implemented by the agency.

CANDIDATES MUST BE U.S. CITIZENS

Responsibilities of the Cyber Security Analyst include:

• Review current agency infrastructure, security documentation, and technical control implementations of agency authorized cloud environments

• Conduct interviews with key personnel

• Maintain detailed design implementation recommendations to allow our customer to remain in compliance with federal regulations and industry best practices

• Identify opportunities to increase visibility and oversight into production system operations in the cloud

• Support project teams with system design to enhance the effective and secure deployment of IT assets to cloud environments, including public, private, or hybrid cloud services that meet federal guidelines, regulations, and NIST Special Publication best practices

Qualifications for the Cyber Security Analyst include:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field, OR 5+ years of progressive IT experience in networking or cyber security

• Must be a clearable U.S. Citizen

• Experience with secure network communication techniques and protocols

• Knowledge in identifying and recommending federally compliant cloud solutions for private clouds and IaaS or PaaS CSPs

• At least one industry recognized certifications (AWS, Azure, CCSP, CISSP, etc.)

Compensation for the Cyber Security Analyst

• Salary Range: $70,000 - $85,000 depending on experience
