To do this, we start with our own community by creating an open, inclusive, and diverse organization.Lyft is hiring a stellar Public Engagement Program Specialist for its Public Policy team. Reporting to the Senior Director, Public Engagement and Strategic Partnerships, this individual will develop strategies and support both the campaign and partnership team in achieving Lyft’s overall policy goals. Responsibilities:Assist the partnerships team with conferences and partner briefings (virtual and, eventually, in person)
Coordinate creation of collateral needed for partners or events, such as fact sheets, program/brochure ads, Lyft logos, etc.
Manage team finances, including processing invoices, creating ride codes, and updating budget trackers
Manage contracts, including partnership agreements, external agencies and non-disclosure agreements
Coordinate schedule for Senior Director, as well as team wide events and cross functional meetings
Facilitate established cross-functional processes for determining corporate stances on select social/political issues
Ensure follow-through from partners on policy advocacy and other forms of engagement
Represent Lyft at conferences and other public events throughout North America
Experience & Skills:5+ years of experience in relevant policy, advocacy, or legislative experience
Proven entrepreneurial and scrappy spirit
Exceptional strategic, organizational, and program management skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, cross-functional, multi-stakeholder, demanding (and sometimes unstructured) environment
Self-starter; intrinsically motivated
Natural connector and relationship builder
Excellent communication skills (written, verbal and presentation) - you know how to tell a good story
