Description JOB DESCRIPTION: The Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) is seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist that can administer, or advice on work concerned with assuring the quality of the acquired developed, delivered, and maintained products. The work of this series involves:
  • The development of plans and programs for achieving and maintaining product quality throughout the item's life cycle;
  • Monitoring operations to prevent the production of defects and to verify adherence to quality plans and requirements;
  • Analysis and investigation of adverse quality trends or conditions and initiation of corrective action.
  • The duties of these positions require analytical ability combined with knowledge and application of assurance principles and techniques, and knowledge of pertinent product characteristics and the associated manufacturing processes and techniques. POSITION DESCRIPTION: The Quality Assurance Specialist shall provide a comprehensive quality control program necessary for reporting and assembling meaningful data received from various data points. The Quality Assurance Specialist will use the data to produce key performance indicators (KPIs), service level agreement metrics and trending and statistical analysis for investigative, compliance and enforcement results. The Quality Assurance Specialist shall perform data analysis on select individual data points to ensure the data becomes actionable knowledge that can help identify and solve potential anomalies, bugs and system failures. The Quality Assurance Specialist will categorize cause and effect of particular event.

    Responsibilities:
    • Supporting analysis and investigation of adverse quality trends or conditions and initiation of corrective action
    • Monitoring operations to prevent the production of defects and to verify adherence to quality plans and requirements
    • Providing support for quality management systems, tools, and techniques to improve the quality of services
    • Developing plans and programs to achieve and maintain quality throughout the life cycle of services
    • Supporting quality measurements of consumables, expendables, supplies, and making recommendations to be reviewed by government employees
    • Experience consulting on quality management and identifying areas of improvement
    • Expertise in in CMMI, Lean Six Sigma (LSS), ISO 9000/2015, and the Malcolm Baldrige Quality Award criteria
    • Ability to clearly communicate and exchange information with co-workers, teammates, stakeholders, and other personnel, as required
    • Experience operating quality assurance and quality monitoring programs
    • Experience assisting and developing training modules, staff improvement programs, and implementing customer satisfaction program
    • Knowledge of monitoring inbound and outbound communications to observe customer satisfaction
    • Knowledge of documenting contact observations programs in order to provide feedback and coaching

    REQUIRED: Minimum of a Bachelor Degree in Business, Information Technology, or Information Management, or seven (7) years of comparable work experience with ISO 9001:2015, CMMI-L3 and agile development as well as security clearance Status of Top Secret / Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) with a CI polygraph test.
    • QAS experience with 5+ years of verifiable experience
    • QAS ISO 9001:2015 experience, knowledge, audits and implementation
    • CMMI Level III understanding, documentation, environment, and implementation.
    • Active TS Security Clearance

    DESIRED:
    • Seven or more years of experience as a Quality Assurance Specialist preferably within the Intelligence Community
    • SofSkills: Excellent Communication skills in both written and oral communications.
    • SofSkills: Proven Teamwork, leadership and conflict management, and critical thinking skills.
    • MS Project: 5+ years of complex project scheduling in MS Project
    • MS Word: 10+ years

    Target salary range: $175,001 - $200,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
