Quality Assurance Manual Test Engineer – Remote

We seek a Quality Assurance Engineer to be a part of a mission-driven company that works side by side with customers to articulate a vision for success, and then make it happen. This position will have a heavy focus on creating manual test plans and test cases for end to end testing for a complex healthcare based digital services product. This role requires the ability to understand complex systems and data; both from the user perspective and the technology perspective while independently investigating problems. Previous experience with Manual testing on web-based applications and API testing is required to succeed in this role. Key Responsibilities:Ensure the overall quality of all aspects for a complex software system, including data, APIs, and web application
Work with developers and other automation engineers to create and maintain manual tests
Shape the overall QA process through the application of best practices and new approaches to testing workflow
Hands-on experience with different types of testing (Functional, Regression, Smoke, Performance, Load, etc.)
Hands on experience with different test case management tools such as TestRails
Cross browser testing and Web Accessibility testing (508 compliance)
Support a high velocity team
Basic Qualifications:Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 3+ years of experience in a software testing role
Hands-on experience with different types of testing (System, Regression, Smoke, Performance, Load, etc.)
Hands on experience with different test case management tools such as TestRails
Hands-on experience testing and debugging web-based software including use of in-browser development tools
Hands-on experience with API testing tool such as Postman, Insomnia or Paw
Solid understanding of Software Configuration Management concepts and methodologies
Web Accessibility (508) experience
Experience with Agile development methodologies and tools (JIRA/Confluence)
Preferred Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science
Master’s degree with a minimum of 3 years' relevant experience
Experience with the JAWS accessibility tool
Hands-on experience with front end automation tools such as Cypress, Selenium, NightwatchJS, Puppeteer, or PlaywrightJavaScript, PHP, C#, or JAVA programming experience is a plus
Knowledge of sql/no-sql database conceptsExperience working in the healthcare industry
Federal Government contracting work experience
Demonstrated experience working on Agile development projects

Must be able to work on a wide variety of high-priority tasks simultaneously and independently.
Strong technical communication skills; both written and verbal
Ability to work independently and seek ways to improve overall team quality
