The Trafficking Analyst and Supervisor supports the Office on Trafficking in Persons (OTIP) in Washington, DC by providing direct support to the Protection Team as an analyst and providing supervisory oversight to all GDIT contractors on the OTIP team.
Maintains all duties of the Trafficking Analyst as described below:
Processes requests for certification from foreign national adult victims of severe forms of human trafficking, including drafting external communications about the certification process and benefits, preparing certification letters in a timely manner, coordinating with victim service providers or representatives to deliver case management assistance to victims, updating the adult certification database, training anti-trafficking external stakeholders on the HHS certification process, responding to inquiries via the certification verification phone line, and providing certification statistics and data analysis;
Intakes, triages, and processes Requests for Assistance for foreign national children who may have been subjected to a severe form of trafficking in persons
Prepares and reviews other GDIT team members written case summaries and analysis of trafficking concerns in accordance with the Trafficking Victims Protection Act of 2000, as amended.
Prepares Eligibility and Interim Assistance Letters, which are granted to foreign national children who have or may have been subjected to human trafficking
Responsible for coverage of the trafficking Victim Verification Line and the child trafficking line which includes providing technical assistance to questions related to Child Eligibility, Adult Certification, and benefits and services for foreign national victims of trafficking and responding to inquiries from victim/survivors of trafficking and victim advocates and legal representatives working on behalf of victim/survivors seeking certification and eligibility letters.
Assist in the preparation of written materials related to trafficking certification and eligibility victim assistance, including reports, correspondence, briefing papers, fact sheets, memoranda, policy and procedure updates, and monthly statistical reports, including the timely preparation of recurring reports on trafficking such as reports to Congress and the President’s Interagency Task Force to Monitor and Combat Trafficking in Persons.
Attends intra-and inter-agency meetings regarding government-wide and private sector anti-trafficking initiatives.
Provides input to improve work processes and efficiencies including technological innovations.
Develops training resources relevant to the Child Eligibility and Adult Certification processes and presents at conferences and meetings.
Coordinates assistance for child and adult victims of trafficking with external sources including grantees, other federal agencies, and social and human services entities
Oversees the adult case triaging and HHS certification process and assists when needed.
Monitors the adult trafficking inbox, responding to inquiries and inputs DHS Continued Presence submissions.

Maintains all duties of the Supervisor as described below:
Monitors OTIP/GDIT Staff and Trains New Hires:
Monitors the progress of individual team members on an ongoing basis to ensure that the team is meeting the customer’s deadlines.
Provides updates and new guidance to the team as the customer directs.
Provides technical assistance to team members as needed.
Provides training for new staff on all elements of OTIP programming and GDIT processes.
Monitors OTIP program areas being supported by GDIT staff and provides suggestions on process improvement when applicable.
Provides oversite of the quality of work and deliverables to the customer.
Establishes procedures and protocols for complying with program requirements
Supervises OTIP/GDIT staff:
Assigns work and monitors workload to ensure fair distribution of work
Monitors staff performance, providing additional training and feedback as needed.
Completes Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs) as necessary.
Completes annual performance evaluations and monitors staff’s progress towards annual goals.
Reviews monthly reports: Approves and submits consolidated reports as needed.
Reviews and approves timecards, AWS requests, scheduled telecommuting requests, leave requests, and expense reports as applicable. Consults with Federal manager regarding holiday travel schedules to confirm adequate coverage.
Serves as primary point of contact for stakeholder questions, requests, or concerns as it relates to the OTIP/GDIT staff or overall program output.

Education
Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or related discipline is required; Master’s degree in Social Work is preferred. Proficiency in Spanish preferred.
Qualifications
If Bachelors, requires 5-8 years of experience; If Masters, 2-5 years of experience.
Requires 2-4 years of child welfare experience.
Supervisory experience preferred and/or demonstrated leadership capability.
Direct experience working with/for anti-trafficking or other anti-violence/interpersonal violence. programs preferred.
Strong organizational and analytical skills.
Strong Communication skills (written and oral).
Experience in employee training and professional development.
