Level determined at Hiring Manager Discretion Position may be located in either our Wilmington, DE, Watertown, MA, or Alexandria, VA locations.Responsible for executing research and evaluation related to innovative health plan interventions in the area of population health. Priority research areas include: evaluation of policies to encourage efficient and effective health care use, patient experience of care, social determinants of health, and digital health solutions.Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:- Executing retrospective and prospective research in health services, health outcomes, and health economics to provide evidences related to population health management and intervention assessment.
- Supporting research activities in the following areas: research designs, methodologies, analytical techniques, and reporting of statistical results
- Collaborating with research team to support research functions that bring high quality analyses, reports, peer-reviewed publications, presentations to clients and at scientific conferences, and other milestones to fruition.
- Applying econometric and statistical techniques for conducting data analyses
- Requires a masters or doctoral level degree or relevant education in health sciences and/or equivalent training in biostatistics, epidemiology, health services research, health economics, public health, or public policy
- 1-2 years of experience in health services, health outcomes, or health economic research
- Strong study design and statistical analysis skills
- Proficiency with one or more statistical applications (SAS, Stata, R) are required
- Post-graduate or post-doctoral training in conducting health services research with experience in biostatistics or epidemiology, managed care, health care systems or related experience is preferred
- Experience with health plan administrative databases (pharmacy and medical claims) and economic modeling is preferred.
