Network Engineer

Growing out a team is an exciting opportunity because it shows that not only is the company healthy, but there is some project work coming up that will be made a priority with this new addition. Healthcare has been absolutely booming, and this massive hospitality network is just the same. They've recently acknowledged the necessary upgrade of their network, specifically their switches, which will ultimately be a massive project. Coming into this role, you'll need to have minimally 5-7 years experience within the core network field. Interestingly enough, they don't have too much Cisco in their environment- it's mostly Extreme, Aruba, and Avaya. That's not to say they won't gladly take a traditional Cisco background, but this person will need to have a solid grasp of Router and Switch technologies at a conceptual level to make the transition. They mostly have Aruba Wireless, Extreme Switches, and Avaya network Access Controls. The project in the next year will be HEAVILY focused on the Extreme Switches, so coming in with Extreme knowledge is ideal. Obviously you'll need to have a foundation of VLAN, IP Addresses, and protocols. Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum of 5 years experience within a Network Engineer role, ideally enterprise
• In-depth knowledge of Router and Switch technologies (updates, upgrades, migrations)
• Network Protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIRGP, LAN/WAN)
• Aruba Wireless
• Avaya Network Access Controls

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
• Cisco experience and certifications
• Other Network vendor certifications
