Job Description - Fixed Income Business Analyst

• Partner with technology, finance, and operational leads to:
  • Define migration strategy and timeline for the multi-year fixed income transformation program
    • Manage dependencies of other parallel programs on the Fixed Income timeline
    • Engage technology to coordinate availability of dependent technology applications and reporting for E2E testing and conversion support
  • Define conversion methodology for each phase of our migration
    • Partner with finance, technology, and operations across various Fixed Income end to end strategy streams to understand future state FTPS architecture to ensure conversion methodology is inline
    • Define data scope for conversion and requirements for how to convert data set to FTPS and where applicable, close existing positions from legacy application
    • Define interim technology tooling required to support conversion
    • Define controls required for each step of the conversion and technology applications used to support said controls
    • Define conversion tasks per application and team
  • Help govern and support various testing phases
    • FTPS Component testing
    • Mock Conversions
    • E2E UAT testing
    • Production parallel testing
  • Manage conversion weekends and post conversion war rooms
• Independently lead and drive a cross functional project work stream that will require strong organizational, communication, and problem solving skills
• Demonstrate a strong Control and Risk awareness

• 5+ years of experience working in financial services
• Strong organization, communication, and problem solving skills required
• Experience in North American fixed income products and operational processes
• Knowledge of core fixed income market components, such as DTC, BoNY, GSCC, MBSCC, and NSCC a plus
• Prior experience in implementing or working with the Client IMPACT application in a business analyst or project management role a plus
• Proven Business analysis skill set: Requirement definition, Business Process Mapping BPMN 2.0, Problem solving, data analysis
• Experience working within an Agile development lifecycle
• Experience working with geographically distributed and culturally diverse work-groups
• Excellent communication, presentation (both oral and written) & influencing skills
• Strong partnership record and ability to build effective business relationships required to navigate the organization
• Successfully lead or played a critical role in a multi-year initiative, fixed income related a plus
• Proven ability to drive decisions and execute outcomes in a cross functional role
• Proven ability to independently lead and achieve quality results in a high-pressure, rapidly changing environment requiring flexibility / adaptability to changeable directives.
• Knowledge and experience using various desktop and project management tools such as Microsoft Project, PitchPro, Excel, JIRA
