Mechanical Assembler

Aerotek is hiring mechanical assemblers at one of the largest global manufacturers of Ground Support Equipment in the aviation and aerospace industries!This is an entry level position at a company with room for growth and competitive pay rates! Anyone with a strong mechanical aptitude is encouraged to apply.DAILY DUTIES:-Responsible for assembling pre-formed sheet metal components, using equipment such as drills, wrenches, and other hand/power tools.-Read and interpret drawings and sketches.-Maintaining a daily time log of work done on manufacturing and/or production travelers.-Doing sub-assemblies for custom built GSE units built for Southwest Airlines, Delta, US Government and United Airways and more.-Other assigned duties as needed.MUST HAVES:-Mechanical aptitude, for example 6+ months experience in the automotive field-Ability to take an accurate measurement with a tape measure-6 months experience using hand and power toolsAbout Aerotek:We know that a company's success starts with its employees.
