As a Director, you are responsible for coordinating the studio operation on and off the air, specifically for Golf Channel Studio shows.Responsibilities:Direct multi-camera live and live-to-tape studio based programsAbility to direct News, Talk, Sports and Special Event programsRequires a creative eye and the ability to plan and direct the audio and video aspects of television programs based on the specifications and knowledge of television programming techniquesInterpret scripts, block cameras and work with cast, crew and producersDirecting live shows without a script especially during breaking news storiesEstablish the pace of the program to stay within the time requirementGood working knowledge of video switchers and editingLead the control room and studio technicians before and during any live or live-to-tape program to keep them informed of the show’s rundown, camera shots, effects, playback order and other specific commandsCoordinate technical crew schedulesOversee the delivery and execution of all graphic and sponsorship playback elementsParticipation in all production, editorial and technical planning meetingsContribute ideas on how to improve all aspects of  the production from creative to executionPerform on-site surveys for studio remote shows
