Solutions Architect (Infrastructure)

Talus Partners is currently looking for a Solutions Architect will strong Infrastructure background. Experience: 10+ years of IT and business/industry work experience including architecture design and deployment, systems lifecycle management, and infrastructure planning and operations and 4-5 years exposure to some of the corporate and shared services experience as an architect.This person will need to have the ability to understand the challenges and properly represent them in the architectural design meetings• Very important to have Real-world solutions, not theoretical • TOGAF experience is a must• Experience with cloud infrastructure is a must• All about the underlying architecture that supports web application & web sites • Understanding IAM (Identity Access Management) would be very nice to have• Understanding WebSphere, Apache, Firewalls, Single sign-on• Some experience with API management is nice to have• Reverse proxy• Devops is nice to have • The ability to diagram and document well Expertise with all facet of the solution architecture including Web Infrastructure, Virtualization technologies, Networking & Telecommunication, Open Systems, Databases & Storage, Security, and Cloud & Infrastructure Components (SaaS, IaaS, UCaaS, and CCaaS). Any vendor specific Cloud certification is a plus. Systems/Technical Knowledge: • Knowledge and understanding of virtualization platforms and hybrid cloud environments, network design and protocols, databases and storage, backup and archive, disaster recovery, and infrastructure monitoring. • Expertise with a broad base of digital web technologies, platforms, patterns, frameworks, and methodologies. • Experience with single sign-on systems, identity access management systems, and PII data security best practices.• Expertise with typical multi-tier architectures: web servers, caching, application servers, load balancers, and storage.• Strong understanding of cloud-based computing architectures. Experience within SaaS, IaaS, PaaS, UCaaS, CCaaS and other cloud environments. • Experience with general security technologies, processes, and concepts.• Experience with environments containing multiple, diverse technologies and processing environments. • In-depth experience designing, implementing, and supporting complex infrastructure solutions, DevOps, and Clustering.• Proven track record of establishing Infrastructure strategy, roadmap, and enterprise-wide capacity planning & containerization (familiarity with Dockers and Kubernetes). • Successfully performed Cloud enablement, infrastructure cost-benefit analysis, and migration under either AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, or any other Cloud providers.• Excellent communication, presentation, influencing, and reasoning skills.• Ability to clearly communicate complex concepts with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.• Strong leadership, interpersonal skills and ability to work cross-functionally.• Strong business judgment and decision-making skills. Ability to identify, prioritize, and articulate highest impact initiatives.• Ability to learn and adjust quickly to a dynamic and changing environment• Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, PowerPoint, Visio, and Outlook• Knowledge of ITSM standards and processes. Education and Experience RequirementsEducation: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, computer engineering, system analysis, or a related field, or equivalent work experience. Experience: 10 or more years of IT and business/industry work experience. 5 or more years architecture design and deployment, systems lifecycle management, and infrastructure planning and operations. Licensing/Certification: Certification in any one of the EA frameworks is a plus
