JOB OPPORTUNITY

Enterprise and cloud solutions are a continuously growing business that is the key element of Avaya's growth strategies. We are looking for a qualified, motivated team member who is interested in working with new technologies and contributing to Avaya's success. This position is for a senior test engineer on the Solution and Interoperability Test Team which performs extensive testing in support of enterprise and cloud solutions and related customer engagements.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The engineer's responsibilities include: understanding requirements and technical specifications of complex enterprise solutions, creation of customer-like lab environments, the design and execution of tests, use and/or development of specialized tools to facilitate testing, working with architects, software/hardware engineers to investigate problem areas, and effective communication of problem areas, solution capabilities and potential customer impacting issues.

JOB REQUIREMENT

Required skills sets: (software, hardware, languages, OS, tools, etc.)

BS or MS in Computer Science or a related engineering field. 2+ years experience in system/solution test or system engineering in a communications related field. A strong desire to learn and develop expertise in business communications and test business communications systems end to end, at scale, and in disaster recovery scenarios is essential.

DESIRED skill sets:

Solution testing in one or more of the following areas: Avaya Contact Centers, cloud-based solutions, WebRTC, Servers, networks LAN/WAN, Client/Server architectures, operating systems, web services, unified communications. Effective communication skills, oral and written, and the ability to function in a team environment. Experience with Windows (OS and domain infrastructures), Linux, databases (MSSQL, Oracle, DB2, Informix), virtualization, Web Services and PBXs with ACD capabilities.

7 - 10 Years of Experience

EDUCATION

Bachelor degree or equivalent experience

Advance Degree preferred
