Participate in test coordination and planning activities. Configure test instrumentation and data acquisition for vibration testing of aerospace hardware, ranging from small components to significant subsystems. Lead and direct sensor installation, wire routing, data acquisition patching, handling of calibrated equipment, and post-test equipment recovery, working on and around critical, unique flight hardware and support equipment. Test anomalies will require troubleshooting of measurement issues and participation in root cause findings. Responsible for data acquisition operation, standardized post-test processing of vibration signature data, and preliminary analyses of data to assess measurement system health and integrity. Experience with test instrumentation (accelerometers, microphones, thermocouples, strain gages, force sensors, displacement sensors); understanding of principles of operation and relevant troubleshooting. Experience with vibration data processing and analysis. Familiarity with quality processes for test & validation. Must be a US Citizen and have the desire and ability to obtain a TS/SCI w/ Poly.Desired Skills: Experience with Unholtz-Dickie shakers and amplifiers; familiarity with M+P vibration control hardware and software. Certification or experience with critical mechanical systems.
