In coordination with the National Development team, the 5G Strategic Sourcing Director will be responsible for leading and managing the strategic sourcing of goods and services in support of Dish's sourcing needs.

This position requires experience in the Telecom/IT sectors and executive communication skills as the Director will be responsible for interfacing with senior executives on a regular basis. This person will also recommend and set procurement strategies/priorities along with other Supply Chain leaders, in support of Dish's Sourcing and Procurement Strategic Plan.

The Director is also accountable for providing operational support and thought leadership on procurement/sourcing strategies regarding supply chain, process and infrastructure improvements. This position will ensure consistency in approach and quality and depth of analysis during the procurement/sourcing process.

Day-to-day job responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of Category Managers within the company's supply portfolio ensuring transparency of spending
  • Generate and implement efficient sourcing and category management strategies
  • Analyze and calculate costs of procurement and suggest methods to decrease expenditure
  • Create negotiation strategies and secure profitable deals
  • Optimize sourcing procedures to attain maximum efficiency
  • Partners with stakeholders to guarantee the well-functioning of the Supply Chain
  • Perform cost and scenario analysis, and benchmarking
  • Contribute to the long-term business goals based on strategic targets

Specific qualifications:

  • BA in Finance, Technology, Procurement, Supply chain, Finance with Business MBA preferred
  • 10+ years of strong technical sourcing negotiations in the Telecom and IT sectors
  • Team player with strong executive presence proven collaborative and productive partnerships with internal leaders and vendors at all levels of the organization
  • Excellent negotiator with knowledge of Strategic Sourcing practices (researching, evaluating and liaising with vendors) RFX and strong legal commercial redlining ability experience of security & privacy concerns
  • Strong financial acumen and analytical skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication with solid negotiation skills
