OverviewPURPOSESupport the Procurement Manager by assisting in maximizing benefits associated with supporting various daily procurement operations of a portfolio of commodities.This position can be based out of our Golden, CO or Las Vegas, NV office.ResponsibilitiesKEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Demonstrates a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to safety policies in all work environments and areas.
Learn and understand operating company needs, perform market analysis, anticipate strategic opportunities and keep key stakeholders informed through effective and managed communication
Conductingspend analysis for respective areas.
Assist and lead in cost analysis, RFP/RFQ processes and annual budgeting
Assist and leadin negotiations with third party suppliers
Assist and lead inimplementation of contracts for Key Performance Indicators, invoicing and payments
Participate in plant, supplier facilities, and logistics point-to-point visits and evaluations and supplier meetings
Work with entire Procurement team including commodity manager(s) to develop knowledge about specific category activity and provide back-up support as needed
Train and support business partnersindependentlyon all SAP Materials Management functions and procurement policies
Audit requisitions for accuracy and compliance with Procurement policy as needed prior to PO creation
RELATIONSHIPS WITH OTHER JOBS
NA Procurement – supports Procurement Manager, NA & regional initiatives as needed
Manufacturing – supports sourcing new suppliers as needed and assist in budget development, new product qualification and problem solving
Finance – provides Budget information based on historical data
Legal – coordinates all commercial activity to ensure compliance with all requirements and coordinate management of external industry groups
QualificationsKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIESRequired Education: Bachelor’s Degree or must be obtained within six months of hire dateField of Study Preferred: Purchasing, Supply Chain, Business, Economics or Engineering, AccountingRequired Work Experience: 3-5 yearsRequired Computer and Software Skills:Proficient/Advanced in MS Office Specifically Excel and PPT, Google Mail & Drive, MM function of SAP knowledge or equivalent Travel Requirements: 10%Additional Requirements:
