Job DescriptionAt Sling, we are passionate about providing continuous viewing experience to our customers and periodic updates that solve problems. We count on our site reliability engineers (SREs) to empower our users with a rich feature set, high availability, and stellar performance level to pursue their missions. As we expand our customer deployments, we are currently seeking an experienced SRE to deliver insights from massive scale data in real time. Specifically, we are searching for someone who brings fresh ideas, demonstrates a unique and informed viewpoint, and enjoys collaborating with a cross-functional team to develop real-world solutions and positive user experiences at every interaction.Roles & Responsibilities- Understanding the requirements and developing E2E test cases on the cloud/backend -microservices.
- Creation of automation scripts using Automation framework based on Python, Detox, CodeceptJS, Selenium/TestNG, Appium, XCUITest etc
- Write scripts for debugging using Fiddler/Charles, JMeter etc.
- Troubleshooting CI/CD pipelines, Jenkins Job etc
- Logging Defects with all relevant details (debug logs, network logs, initial root cause analysis, etc) and tracking the defect to closure
- Collaborate with a globally distributed team.
- 6+ years of experience in Back End API Automation testing, Media/Entertainment industry.
- Must be Proficient in Developing API Test Automation frameworks from Scratch using Javascript/Python/Java programming languages,
- Must have Experience in test management and automation tool frameworks.
- Extensive experience in backend API/Microservices automation/testing using tools such as Postman, SOAPUI, Bloom RPC, Ready API etc.
- Good to have experience on gRPC calls testing.
- Advanced knowledge of software testing techniques, methodologies, policies, and procedures.
- Experience in UI validation of Apps on Video streaming platforms like Roku, FireTV, Apple TV etc.
- Expertise on API/MicroService Performance testing and Server side Analysis.
- Expertise in monitoring Server logs using Kibana, Newrelic, Splunk.
- Experience with JIRA, Zephyr, Git, Jenkins and Video Analytics tools highly preferred.
- Expertised in Integrate automated tests with the CI/CD pipeline tools such as Gitlab/Jenkins, contribute to continuous improvement in processes and procedures.
- Expertized in source code management tools such as Gitlab/Github.
- Experience working on Linux Server, monitoring commands.
- Collaborate with a globally distributed team.
- BE/B.Tech or equivalent degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Experience: 6 to 7 years of experience with minimum 4 years on Automation
