DescriptionRobert Half Finance & Accounting has partnered with a Denver based property management firm and real-estate developer in search of a controller. The controller would be the #2 financial position for the organization working under the direction of the CFO. The real-estate Controller will manage all aspects of day to day accounting & financial reporting. Responsibilities will be broad, including oversight of corporate closing activities across REITs and working day-to-day with property accounting and asset management groups. The Real-Estate Controller will be responsible for ensuring all monthly accounting procedures are adhered to. This Real-Estate Controller will also assist with annual budgets and quarterly forecast preparation. This is a great role for an experienced controller from the real-estate industry looking for a new challenge!The real-estate controller position requires a Bachelors Degree in Accounting with a CPA preferred. A minimum of five years of relevant accounting & reporting experience required. Prior public accounting and CPA designation are a plus but not required. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business

8 + years of experience in accounting, ideally in the property management / real-estate industry

3+ years of recent experience in a leadership role

CPA or MBA preferred
