Data Analytics Intern - Graduate (Summer 2021)

Description SHIFT: Day JobSCHEDULE: Full-timeThe Anthem Technology Intern Program allows students to gain

real-world work experience in their academic field. During the summer months,

interns will engage in challenging projects evolving around the rapidly changing healthcare tech industry. Interns will be paired with

industry professionals and mentors and will be given opportunities to stretch

their skills and enrich their knowledge base to achieve a greater understanding

within Technology. If the intern performs well throughout the internship, there

will be opportunities for full-time employment once the intern graduates.Interns will participate in activities to enhance

connection to the company as a whole and encourage personal growth. Some of

these activities include:

Formal on-boarding

event for all students to ensure integration to the organization and program

A one on one

mentorship with a leader for the duration of the program

Cadenced Learning

series to build student’s acumen and focus on learning the business

Opportunities to

grow and develop through social and networking events

What we are looking for:Analytics Interns will be assigned to

a specific group within Digital and Information Technology based on skill set

and need of the business. Graduate students should have

experience and education in:Python, R, Java, C/C, C#, Angular, HTMLSAS SQL Databases, Querying languagesText Analytics and Natural Language Processing,

Sequence LabelingMachine learning, Probabilistic and

Statistical Learning MethodsDeep Learning, recurrent neural networks,

Convolutional neural networksEmerging topics in artificial intelligence,

intelligent systems, conversational bots, and knowledge representation and

reasoningHere are some examples of what our past Data

Analytics Interns have worked on:

Patient comorbidities prediction

Utilize machine learning for audit prediction

Utilize machine learning for patient care

prediction costs

Creation of Data Pipelines

Detection of anomalous data through machine

learning techniques

Dashboard creation for display and analysis of

data

Using Artificial Intelligence in Chatbot

creation

degree with proven record of high achievement

First or second

year graduate student with a graduation date between August 2021 to May 2022.

GPA of 3.0 or

above

Advanced user of

Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

Energetic

self-starter with willingness to work hard, take on significant and multiple

responsibilities, and with dedication towards excellence and achieving results.

Currently enrolled in a graduate level

degree-seeking program related to data science, statistics, mathematics,

artificial intelligence or similar program.
