Staff Accountant

Description Robert Half Finance and Accounting has partnered with a manufacturing company to place a Staff Accountant in their Denver office. This Staff Accountant position offers full health, dental and vision insurance plans, a 104k with match, profit sharing, and a hybrid work schedule! The Staff Accountant will be responsible for:Handle complex accounts payable vendor billing reconciliations

Process high volume of accounts payable vendor invoices; following up with internal and external parties to drive resolution to any pricing variances

Complete various month-end tasks, including deferred expense and accrued purchases review, revenue tie-outs, rebate calculations, warranty reserves, freight margin analysis, product class audit, shop and hardware spending validation

Recommend process improvement measures to enhance company-wide efficiencies

Interact with purchasing team to drive resolution to ongoing product return matters

Manage company credit card transactions via monthly review process

Drive distribution of weekly A/P checks (delayed release, rush payments), log positive pay bank files

Review vendor 1099 eligibility, documentation in preparation for year-end filing

Complete credit applications for new vendors

Requirements for the Staff Accountant include:BS in Accounting, Finance, or Business highly preferred

2+ years of recent accounting experience

Strong understanding of debits and credits

Good Excel skills (can use Pivots, NetSuite is a plus)

Comfortable with a fair amount of accounts payable work
