POSITION SUMMARY

The AP Specialist – Customer Service is responsible for handling all payment issues with internal/external partners including international payments. They will also manage the processing of Quick Checks, ACH/Wire, Auto Deduction payments and utilize Alterra’s online banking system as needed. They will assist in the analysis of vendor statements and vendor account reconciliations to anticipate issues, questions, and potential problems.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Prioritize, research, and write responses for a high volume of AP inquiries created by suppliers, resort, and corporate staff as well as through the AP inbound calls.
  • Manually post past due invoices in ReadSoft
  • Review invoices stuck in workflow, try to find correct receipts so invoice can be posted and paid
  • Contact resort receiving staff for missing or incorrectly posted receipts
  • Communicate with suppliers

    • Answer supplier inquiries
    • Reconcile supplier statements

  • Reverse invoices where receipts were mismatched, repost invoice correctly
  • Educate vendors and client personnel on AP processes and inquiry tools to encourage independence and improve efficiencies
  • Manage all incoming phone inquiries
  • Provide debit and remittance details to vendors
  • Escalate issues to management when necessary
  • Identify inefficiencies within processes that cause problems for our customers and be a strong advocate for process improvements.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Full cycle AP knowledge
  • Proven customer support experience
  • Track record of over-achieving quota
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and practices
  • Strong phone contact handling skills and active listening
  • Customer orientation and ability to adapt/respond to different types of characters
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
  • Ability to work independently with little direction

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Associate degree preferred
  • 3-5 years of experience in a travel & expense management related role

The base hourly pay range below represents the low and high end of the Alterra Mtn Co Shared Services Inc. hourly pay range for this position. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel. The range listed is just one component of Alterra Mtn Co Shared Services Inc.’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term and long-term incentives and many region-specific benefits.

Denver area base hourly pay range: $21.63 to $32.96 per hour
