Summary:Maintain general ledgers, budgets and financial transactions related to large capital projects including but not limited to reconciling balance sheet accounts, department cost centers, operational budgets and capital activity accounts. Support financial accounting and reporting needs for the Facilities, Design and Construction department, including design, construction, security, plant operations/maintenance, and real estate.
Work Schedule: Full Time DaysResponsibilities:- Prepare monthly capital project budget analysis and cash forecasts for senior executives and the Board of Directors.
- Review and analyze capital projects for all entities within UCHealth; including but not limited to the impact on budgets, compliance with internal and external audit requirements and oversee purchase orders in relation to the capital project budget.
- Prepare monthly long-term cash forecasts for the finance team which is utilized for cash management and bond funding support.
- Manage project financial analysis tools and procedures that have now been implemented as Standard Operating Procedures by the Facilities, Design and Construction department throughout UCHealth.
- Lead monthly reviews with project management analyzing current state of projects.
- Manage and prepare project reports for monthly meetings with department and finance leadership.
- Prepare appropriate journal and closing entries with accurate supporting documentation.
- Review and approve electronic purchase requests for all Facilities, Design and Construction projects.
- Attend meetings and actively participate in audits for projects and operational services.
- Manage departmental operational budgets.
- Manage a small team of accountants that support the scope of this role.
- Manage operation budgets for several office buildings and medical facilities.
- Oversee capital labor costs centers for managing internal UCHealth labor allocations to capital projects.
- Identify and recommend changes in policies, procedures and processes to support appropriate, accurate and effective work flow.
- Minimum Required Education: Bachelors degree in relevant field. Preferred: Masters degree, 5 years of healthcare experienceRequired Licensure/Certification: None Required. Minimum Experience: 2 years of related experience.
- IF APPLICABLE: BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire. All life support certification cards must be issued by either the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer. (American Red Cross for the Professional Rescuer is only good upon hire and all renewals will need to be through an American Heart Association sanctioned course.)
