Staff Accountant

In this Staff Accountant role, it will be critical for you to prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation. You'll be interested in this position if you want to perform internal reporting during the monthly close, participate in compliance, interact with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and review schedules reporting processes. We're looking for people who are detail-oriented and analytical thinkers with a talent for creating Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets.Your responsibilities in this roleAd-hoc reporting and special projects, as requested

Manage intercompany reconciliation, billings, and transactions

Assemble analyses for monthly balance sheets and income statements for management reporting

Conduct month end close and compose journal entries with minimal supervision

Periodic maintenance and reconciliation of journal entries

Manage depreciation, fixed asset ledgers, and reconciliation

Organize and review a variety of financial data, reporting it in a way that is useful and understandable

Assist with the month end, quarter end and year end closing process by preparing monthly financial close workbooks

In-depth experience with month end balance sheet account reconciliations

Assemble journal entries and thorough account reconciliations that include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll

Participate in various department-wide initiatives

Contribute to the implementation, maintenance and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP

Arrange schedules for capital lease and monthly payments Requirements - Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic and constantly changing company environment

Knowledge of Yardi Software

Yardi experience desired

Deep understanding of Bank Account Reconciliation

Journal entries experience

Self-starter with efficient time management and organizational skills

Current and relevant ERP system experience

3+ years of recent and relevant accounting experience

BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics

Exemplary analytical, quantitative and social skills

Proficient with spreadsheets and databases

Ability and willingness to meet business critical deadlines

Attentive, ability to work independently and prioritize tasks

Ability to work within spreadsheets and databases

Fully formed organizational, written and verbal communication skills
