Job Description

We are looking for an

Regional Management Specialist towork within a team and independently to provide senior level technical support to properties with operational, lease-up, and compliance issues. In addition, evaluate properties with operational issues, to develop and implement a corrective business plan, and to monitor the progress and effectiveness of the plan.

Ensure that the operations of the property(ies) in assigned area of oversight are in compliance with the standards and expectations of Operational Excellence, other stated guidelines of Mercy Housing Management Group (MHM), and Mercy Housing. Based on the assignment, is responsible for ensuring or supporting adherence to Operational Excellence standards and property-specific goals, including on site orientation and training in OE. Specific assignments are identified in writing by Property Operations Regional Vice President.

Position requires outstanding regulatory compliance knowledge and experience in addition to collaborative leadership skills to represent MHMG in a variety of settings and contexts. Must excel at teaching staff, tracking and delivering results and inspiring operational success. Willing to be flexible with schedule that includes regional travel.

Qualifications

EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent required. Professional certification in property or affordable housing management preferred.

EXPERIENCE: Minimum of three (3) years in housing and/or property management. Working knowledge of applicable local and federal housing laws, including Fair Housing and Landlord and Tenant laws. Preferred three (3) years as a supervisor/manager of multi-family housing. Previous property management experience including HUD, Low Income Tax Credits, Rural Housing, and Tax-Exempt Bond properties.

ABILITIES:

  1. Assess property issues, develop recommendations and implement corrective measures.
  2. Willing and able to travel throughout the country a few times per year.
  3. Comprehend and communicate in the English language both orally and in writing.
  4. Interpret and understand financial information generated from property management software reports.
  5. Legally operate a motor vehicle (valid driver's license).
  6. Work in a collaborative manner and in a team environment. Working knowledge of OE Standards and model of Operational Excellence in practice.
  7. Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  8. Treat a variety of people with respect and compassion.
  9. Represent Mercy Housing in a professional manner at all times.
  10. Understand and support the mission and values of Mercy Housing.

Additional Information

  • Compensation: $65,000 to $75,000
