Lead Site Reliability Engineer - ITmPowered Consulting

ITmPowered Consulting is looking for an experienced Lead Site Reliability Engineer to help us build and scale on of the largest connected fitness platforms in the world. As a member of our Technical Operations team at you will partner with Engineering and Product teams to design, build and deliver reliable and highly performant services which help millions of users on our enterprise platform. Responsibilities

Provide Site Reliability Engineering solutions guiding technical architecture decisions and operations.
Build and maintain a low latency, high performance, scalable infrastructure.
Ensure the infrastructure makes it easy for architecture and engineering teams to achieve rigorous SLAs and massive, global user growth.
Work closely with engineering stakeholders to define platform requirements and underlying service implementations to stay ahead of peak HA events - New product launch, Black Friday, Cyber Monday, etc.
Design scalable infrastructure to handle peak HA event workflows from Akamai to AWS Route 53 to separate ALB clusters across multiple availability zones. Leverage EC2's spanning multiple AZ's with feeds back to SQL server on RDS.
Work closely with engineers on your team and across the engineering organization to troubleshoot/fix issues
Research and adapt new infrastructure practices and technologies.
Rapidly iterate on existing platform features
Guide and mentor SREs on the team

Experienced Required

BS preferably in CS, Engineering, Math, or similar.
5+ years of in comparable roles - Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, Systems Engineering
Strong understanding of scaling systems reliably.
Production experience with data stores and/or async messaging (exmples: MySQL, MongoDB, Redis, Memcache, Kafka, Elastic Search, etc)
Expertise with to container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
Experience with an automation/configuration management tools such as Salt, Ansible, Chef or Puppet
Proficiency in the use of code and script (examples: Python, Ruby, Java and/or Go)
Proven expertise with Amazon Web Services (Route53, ALB Clusters, AZ's, EC2's, RDS, etc.)
Expertise and experience in service performance profiling and tuning
Familiarity with cutting-edge open source libraries and experience contributing to open source projects a plus.
Detail-oriented and data-driven.
