Production Operator (Coating/Slurry)

Solid Power is seeking a Production Operator to join our talented team working to revolutionize the battery industry through the development of next-generation, all solid-state rechargeable batteries. Solid Power is a dynamic, fast-paced, collaborative team environment. This position will work closely with the other production operators and engineers to help set up, operate, tear down equipment used in slurry preparation, coating, and electrode fabrication operations.

Job Duties:

Follow and update standard operating procedures for Solid Power’s production equipment. Assist in drafting or editing procedures during process development.

Perform weighing, mixing, cleaning, and other electrode fabrication operations with rigor and attention to detail.

Maintain production equipment, work-space, and dry room in proper working conditions following 5S protocol.

Use the company’s document and change control system to properly archive technical documentation.

Contribute to continuous improvement of the processes and final products.

Work closely, collaboratively, and effectively with other departments and team members.

Qualifications/Requirements:

2+ years’ experience in a lab or manufacturing environment

Hands-on experience working with hazardous materials, dry powder processes, and wet chemical/slurry and solvent-based operations.

Experience with battery unit operations is desirable as is clean-room experience, preference for candidates with experience running mixing, coating or other roll to roll equipment.

Rapid learner who thrives in a fast-paced start-up environment

Excellent communication and organizational skills

The candidate must be responsible and self-motivated, with a history of stable employment and performance

The candidate will regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds

U.S. citizenship or Permanent Residency required
