We are seeking an experienced Planner responsible for our production planning/scheduling functions in order to meet the clients needs in terms of delivery, inventory, cost and quality.

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities:

Develop the master production plan to satisfy customer demand while carrying minimum effective inventory.

Manages the movement of materials through production

Analyze and identify risks associated with the Master Production Plan, including manufacturing lead times

Coordinate with Sales/Customer Service to ensure specific customer requirements are accurately captured on Work Orders and communicated and executed by the production team.

Keeps Program Management and Production team updated on status of orders, current or anticipated

problems, and circumstances which may affect delivery, quality and/or price.

Provides weekly production plan consistent with the company capacity and sales forecast

Proactively identify potential production problems, develop solutions and implement them to resolve or prevent a problem.

Maintain Inventory levels consistent with production requirements and targeted inventory goals.

Determines the desired inventory levels for finished goods, including safety stock levels

Ensures accuracy of inventory counts by reviewing material in system and identifies discrepancies in

inventory taking corrective action to guard against inconsistencies in the future.

Provide inventory status reports to senior management.

Resolve invoice issues and work closely with finance for supplier payments

Manage supplier metrics and trends to improve cost, quality and schedule performance

Drive supplier on time delivery and quality performance

Support Program Management and Production scheduling to ensure seamless execution and delivery

Generate on-going cost savings and participates on product development teams for sourcing material.

Monitors and communicates quality and delivery performance to suppliers. Maintains awareness of market trends pertaining to their responsibility.

Develop supplier relationships, coordinate and manage supplier delivery commitments

Interface with Program Engineering and Manufacturing Engineering to ensure customer requirements and specifications are flowed down to supplier

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or Business, Industrial Engineering or related discipline and/or combination of education and experience

5+ years of Planning experience in a manufacturing environment related to Defense/Aerospace

Comprehensive knowledge of Supply Chain operations with advanced analytical, problem-solving and critical thinking skills

Previous MRP/ERP planning experience

APICS certification preferred

Ability to read and interpret documents such as contracts, agreements, and procedure manuals as well as speak effectively before groups of customers and employees of the organization.

Strong computer proficiency (Project, MRP, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MRP)

Excellent communication and organizational skills; ability to provide accurate concise management summary of status and information.

Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident due to ITAR regulations

Ability to successfully execute duties under pressure from deadlines.
