We are currently recruiting for a Direct Hire Paralegal in the Goleta area! This position is Full Time with a pay rate of $35.45 - 54.06/hr and the company offers great benefits! If you are interested and qualified, submit a resume ASAP!

Job duties and Responsibilities:
Coordinate information and assist General Counsel in case preparation
Initiate responses to requests for documents and information from opposing attorneys, outside counsel, and other entities and individuals
Initiate contact with involved departments and coordinate correspondence
Maintain and organize records of all legal filings, correspondence, and other documents to ensure optimal matter management
Prepare status reports and oversee matter management system
Assist General Counsel in review and tracking of legal bills and case budgets
Communicate with both external parties and internal business groups to resolve issues with current and proposed contracts
Draft and review quality agreements, letters of authorization, distribution agreements, purchasing agreements, consulting agreements and RFPs
Oversee the document management system and processing of legal agreements including physician and other professional service contracts
Provide support for litigation and administrative agency proceedings, including collection, preparation, and production of documents
Coordinate witnesses and ensure witnesses and parties are available for legal and administrative proceedings
Stay familiar with the latest developments, advancements and trends in the paralegal field by attending seminars/workshops and reading professional journals. Integrate knowledge gained into current work practices
Assist General Counsel with legal matters as assigned
Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
Paralegal Certification is preferable
Must understand technical legal terminology
Must be proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and Legal Research Databases
Must have 5+ years of paralegal experience
Must be highly organized and detail oriented
Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills
