Job Description

The Marketing Analytics team at Square is responsible for marketing technology and data infrastructure, making recommendations to increase revenue and improve spend, and measuring the impact of marketing campaigns. As a Measurement Analyst within the Marketing Analytics organization, you will analyze marketing performance results, develop and socialize insights and recommendations, and promote experimentation to identify growth opportunities. You will be the liaison between the channel teams and the analytics team to ensure we have proper measurement in place for all marketing spend.You will work with numerous partner teams, including Marketing, Data Engineering, or Product Marketing.

You Will:

  • Oversee measurement and forecasting for a set of products and channels
  • Drive planning processes and keep a pulse on the latest measurement methodologies to measure efficacy of spend across all marketing channels
  • Work with channel and product marketing teams to determine campaign goals (e.g. performance vs. awareness) and develop cross-channel measurement plans and KPIs to ensure results are measurable and relevant
  • Develop insights to evaluate marketing effectiveness and inform optimization and future go-to-market strategies and decisions
  • Work with our analytics, ad operations, and data engineering teams to ensure measurement capabilities are in place before campaign execution
  • Provide regular business essential reports on marketing performance, ensuring consistency, accuracy and timeliness with relevant insights on insights

Qualifications

You Have:

  • 3 - 5years of experience evaluating marketing campaign effectiveness and performance analytics
  • Experience working for an agency or marketing department with an understanding of marketing strategy with branding and awareness programs
  • Experience measuring offline marketing channels such as TV, radio, podcasts and events
  • Expertise in marketing concepts and appropriate measurement capabilities across online and offline channels
  • Experience working with marketing measurement tools, including multi-touch attribution, media mix modeling, incrementality testing, matched market testing, A/B testing and hypothesis testing
  • Experience working on brand lift studies and other types of measurement studies
  • Familiarity with marketing automation and optimization platforms like DoubleClick Search, Kenshoo, Marin, DoubleClick Campaign Manager, Facebook Proficiency with excel (can maintain complex spreadsheets), SQL and data visualization tools like Looker or Tableau
  • Excellent communication skills, particularly when explaining technical matters to less technical co-workers
  • Demonstrate ability to influence decision makers and work with cross-functional partners
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, matrixed organization, with multiple partners across time zones
