Java Software Test Engineer

Candidate MUST relocate to the Bay Area before start date if hired.We are looking for a passionate and talented Software Test Engineer to help build the team that will be the core of test engineering.Candidates must be self motivated and be able to succeed in a fast-paced environment; they must work well and stay cool under pressure and stress.Candidates must be inventive and focused in their approach to work and solving problems within project deadlines.Skills/Experience Required:Core Java engineering and design (7+ years) High level understanding of many computer science concepts/frameworks such as Messaging, SOA, Spring, Web Services, Databases, Distributed Systems, Multi DataCenters, Cloud Computing, HTML, CSS and the DOMJUnit/TestNG testing: Test and report software, and functional bugs in a detailed, timely manner.Communication & Leadership: Represent the team and its technology in technical and project meetings and Scope and prioritize testing deliverablesUnderstanding of Business/Team DeadlinesEngineering MindsetWorking knowledge of UNIX-based systems and command-line tools for debugging, analysis and automation.Ability to analyze crash logs, backtraces and assist engineers by utilizing basic debugging techniques.Excellent communication skills (ability to communicate technical concepts to a non-technical audience.)OSX or Linux Education: Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or equivalent degreeSeven or more years of Software testing or development
