Title: Test Engineer V Location: Sunnyvale, CA Duration: 12 MonthJob Title: Core Engineering - Test Engineer VJob Description:Responsibilities•Deploy and support advanced manufacturing-ready laser test stations, including safety compliance tests, for Client AR/VR consumer electronics products.•Coordinates third-party vendors in fabricating, bringing up, and debugging test systems.•Maintain and debug end-to-end test software including test sequence, motion stage/robotics control, image capturing/processing and data transaction interface to defined IT infrastructure.•Analyze, evaluate, and test the first article fixture to meet specification and proof of concept.•Validation of test SW/FW releases, including repeatability and negative testing, and coordinate SW upgrades with fixture integrator and CM/JDM partners.•Troubleshoot and debug test systems and automation solutions from a software and hardware perspective during product builds.•Reproduce and scale up existing test systems at manufacturing sites.•Travel required: up to 25%, includes domestics and International travels for build support and sustaining.Minimum Qualifications•Bachelor's degree in Optics, Physics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent with 1+ years of experience in developing test solutions in manufacturing/factory environment.•Hands-on experience with optical test or calibration systems.•Experience with optical metrology (spectrometer, radiometer, imaging optics, color sensor, etc.) •Ability to build test hardware by following SOP or working with vendors.•Experience with programming languages such as Python, C/C, and data processing tools such as MATLAB, JMP and Minitab.•Experience with debugging complicated test systems including optical instruments, mechanical motion, electrical controls, and test software.•Experience with managing third-party vendors to meet project requirements.•Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Preferred Qualifications•Proficient in Mandarin. (Nice to Have) •Experience with laser safety classification and the required tests.•Knowledge in color science; experience with color calibration for OLED/LCD or camera •Experience with factory tests for consumer electronics products for NPI and mass production.•Knowledge in statistical methods (6s, SPC, Cpk, etc.) for data analytics.•Experience in designing and executing development projects with a design of experiment approach (DOE) to troubleshoot and solve engineering problems.
