Accounts Receivable Clerk

This is a long-term contract / temporary Accounts Receivable Clerk position and is based in the Stockton, California area. Robert Half is filling a job opening for an Accounts Receivable (A/R) Clerk, to join the accounting team at a growing Non-Profit company. We are looking for candidates ready to enter, post and reconcile batches, research and resolve customer A/R issues, prepare aging report, place billing and collection calls, maintain cash receipts journal, update, and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L. Represent and exude the values, culture, and mission of the organization

Process payments and compile segments of monthly closings and annual reports in compliance with GAAP

Assist in setting up payment plans; contact clients to help resolve payment issues

Carry out an assortment of basic accounting tasks in accordance with standard procedures, including general accounting tasks

Present information, as requested to shippers, customers, the sales/marketing department and other stakeholders

Corroborate documents and codes

Review status of delinquent accounts daily and initiate collection action by contacting customers Requirements

Strong familiarity with Microsoft Excel

Cash Deposits experience

Customer service experience

Cash Deposits experience preferred

2+ years of relevant experience in accounts receivable

Attention to detail and proven ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement

Current and relevant ERP system experience

Demonstrated analytical skills in basic accounts receivable and accounting policy

AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting or related field desired
