We are looking for an energetic, positive individual to work as the Communications Assistant at our company headquarters in San Luis Obispo. The Communications Assistant performs duties to assist in the operation of the Lindamood-Bell Foundation.
The Communication Assistant will help in designing and implementing communication campaigns that will support and raise awareness of the mission and goals of the Lindamood-Bell Foundation. This individual will be responsible for the design and execution of thematic components under the direction of the Executive Director.
This is a regular part-time position.

Responsibilities:
Provide general day to day administrative support to the Lindamood-Bell Foundation and to the Executive Director, and, with the Executive Director's direction, to Board members and Committees
Monitor incoming email and social media accounts and respond to general inquiries
Perform daily communication tasks (i.e., thanking donors and tracking funds raised)
Assist in writing marketing related content, development of newsletters, and/or other multi-media related projects and products
Interact positively and professionally with clients and staff to provide a safe and positive work environment
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree preferred. Actively pursuing a degree is acceptable
Experience using social media platforms, webpage, and/or video to develop and enhance messaging in emails, newsletters, and other means of public engagement
Strong computer skills: Email, Word, Excel, Google Workspace/G Suite (i.e., Google Sheets), familiarity with Facebook, LinkedIn, and primary social media platforms
Strong project management, administrative, interpersonal, and organizational skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work flexibly in a dynamic environment, work in a team, and independently with a positive 'can do' attitude
Preferred Experience:
Experience with social media campaign design and implementation
Public relations experience
Familiarity working with non-profit organizations
Interest in graphic/virtual design
