We are looking for an energetic, positive individual to work as a Fundraising Coordinator at our company headquarters in San Luis Obispo. The Fundraising Coordinator performs duties to assist in the ongoing operations of the Lindamood-Bell Foundation.

The Fundraising Coordinator will help in raising funds that will support the mission and goals of the Lindamood-Bell Foundation to be able to offer more scholarships to families in need. This individual will help develop and implement fundraising campaigns that meet the purpose of the Foundation and that can be scaled to the local, state, national, and international level. This will include providing input on concept design and development, implementation of planned objectives, and measuring analytics of the success of the campaigns. This individual will work with the Executive Director and Fundraising Consultant to implement and execute a strategic plan to meet the goals of the Foundation.

This is a regular part-time position.

Responsibilities:

Assist in the development and implementation of donor retention and donor growth plans

Assist with day to day coordination of fundraising efforts, including administrative support, development and deployment of emails/templates, communication with the public and engagement with stakeholders that positively reflect the Foundation

Coordinate fundraising-related touchpoints (which could include events and programs/products) and identify and adapt these for corporate sponsorships, high profile donors, targeted groups and industries and other influential groups/individuals

Assist in writing marketing related content, development of newsletters, and/or other multi-media related projects and products to facilitate fundraising efforts

Ability to scale a concept from inception through development and to implementation

May assist in developing major gift opportunities and writing grant proposals

Provide related administrative support to the Foundation and to the Executive Director, and, with the Executive Director's direction, to Board members and committees

Interact positively and professionally with clients and staff to provide a safe and positive work environment

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree preferred. Actively pursuing a degree is acceptable

Strong computer skills: Email, Word, Excel, Google Workspace/G Suite (i.e. Google Sheets), familiarity with Facebook, LinkedIn, and primary social media platforms

Strong project management, administrative, interpersonal, and organizational skills

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Ability to work flexibly in a dynamic environment, work in a team, and independently with a positive 'can do' attitude

Preferred Experience:

Familiarity working with non-profit organizations

Fund-raising experience

Experience with social media communications, campaign design, and implementation

Public relations experience

Experience working with the public
