Staff Pharmacist Position Summary
The purpose of this position is to join and contribute to a service conscious pharmacy team who will consistently build relationships with patients by exceeding their needs. Support the efficient workflow of the pharmacy and assists the pharmacy manager in identifying ways to optimize pharmacy financials, inventory management and enhance customer experience.
Required Responsibilities
Collaborate with physicians and patients to discuss medication approaches and personalized formulations.
Model excellent patient care by respecting, engaging and enthusiastically meeting or exceeding all patient needs including counseling and problem solving.
Offer information to assist patients in understanding how to properly take/use their prescribed medications.
Work with staff to maintain a clean, welcoming and customer-friendly workplace.
Perform all duties of a Pharmacist, including but not limited to, interpreting and filling prescriptions for medications, reviewing all clinical aspects of the prescription; maintaining patient profiles; verifying patient receives accurate medications.
Assisting the Pharmacy manager to provide an optimal team and patient experience by proper delegation of work assignments and efficient use of supplies and equipment
Assisting the Pharmacy manager in maintaining inventories and ordering products and supplies in order to meet patient requirements and maximize profits.
Maintain a neat and clean work environment to ensure all company, local, state and federal government requirements.
Remain informed and up to date on new drugs, therapies, and developments in the pharmacy industry. Maintain professional competency and service skills. Be an advocate for positive change in the pharmacy profession to improve, advance, and expand both patient care and company performance
Continuously build professional rapport with outside partners including physicians, nurses, medical assistants, industry representatives and vendors
Required Skills
Doctor of Pharmacy Degree from an accredited School
Active state license to practice, and currently working
Strong understanding of compounding philosophies
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong customer service abilities
Desire to be an active member of the Medication Triad
