Collections Specialist

This long-term contract / temporary to full-time Collections Specialist position is available in the Simi Valley, California area.Your responsibilities in this roleManage inbound and outbound collections calls and correspondence

Locate delinquent customer accounts through various means, e.g. skip-tracing, phone contact, written correspondence, and make arrangements for payment

Act as liaison in maintaining quality service to the customer and a positive company image by resolving customer account inquiries

Process Payments

Document all customer payments to the right reports

Yield to all Federal Fair Credit Reporting Act rules and regulations

Correctly process bankruptcy filings when received

Update customer files to ensure data integrity

Head all billing and reporting activities in response to deadlines Requirements - 2-3 years of prior high volume collections experience

Experience using accounting software

Be able to effectively analyze and make decisions on customer accounts

Excellent written/verbal communication and organizational skills

AA or BS/BA in Accounting preferred

Solid understanding of Excel Formulas
