Field Service Technician

Do you feel naked without your Leatherman? Do you think about your “honey do” list while standing in line at the store? Do you go to Home Depot more often than the grocery store? We like your style.

We are looking for field service technicians with strong mechanical skills and an ability to figure out new problems on their own. We need techs who are confident enough to work on something completely new, and experienced enough to understand what it SHOULD do and why it doesn’t.

For the first 3 months or so, new technicians report to our San Jose warehouse. They get to ride with one of our senior techs and do the dirty work new techs everywhere get stuck with. But while they are ringing waste oil out of their socks, they are also learning how to fix compressors, lifts, oil pumps, tire changers, and more. Once we are sure you won’t injure yourself or drive a customer nuts, we put you in a truck and cross our fingers.

You don’t need to have past experience in our industry, but you do need at least 3 years of diagnostic experience doing field repairs on something mechanical. We need people who know their righty-tighty from their lefty-loosey, know that cursing at a problem will not fix it, and take pride in the work they do. Our service techs work a 4 day week. We don’t know what they do the other 3 days.
