The Sequoias San Francisco near Japan town is seeking to hire a full time RN-SNF. This position includes employer paid health and retirement benefits. Hourly Rate for this position: Entry level- $45.00 to $47.27, OR DOE

Job Summary: Renders direct or indirect resident care services that ensure the safety, comfort, personal hygiene and protection of residents; includes the performance of disease prevention and restorative measures.

This position maintains the standards of nursing care and implements the policies and procedures of the facility and the nursing department. Assumes responsibility for maintaining current knowledge and skills with respect to facility activities, nursing procedures, and technology. Assesses and documents the resident's condition and nursing care needs. Plans resident care activities based on the Plan of Care and continued assessment. Provides direct care in accordance with the prescribed medical and nursing treatment plans. Assists with or institutes emergency measures for sudden adverse developments in residents, such as cardiac arrest. Maintains CPR certification. Functions in a supervisory capacity in the absence of the Nursing Manager and is responsible for the supervision of the team's nursing assistants and LVNs. Plans, implements and evaluates appropriate resident and/or family education. Plans for the discharge needs of the resident. Establishes and maintains collaborative communication with physicians, other health care professionals and facility departments. Participates in the orientation of new nursing department personnel. Participates in the maintenance of a clean and safe environment. Practices fiscal responsibility in the use of supplies, equipment and time management and performs other work as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications: Current valid RN California license and Basic Life Support certification. Previous gerontological nursing experience with supervisory responsibility for activities of CNAs and/or LVNs.

Preferred Qualifications: Current California RN license and Basic Life Support certification. Two or more years in working with older adults in a skilled nursing facility. A Bachelor's degree in Nursing earned in the United States.
