Job Description
Seeking a dedicated Line Cook to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for food production in accordance with our established recipes and directions. Key responsibilities include assisting with cooking duties, participating in food preparation and portioning prior to service, and producing food for various meal times and catered events. The role requires adherence to production sheets, portion control, and merchandising instructions, as well as ensuring all items meet our standards for quality, flavor, freshness, and presentation. A clean and organized work station, as well as routine maintenance of kitchen equipment, is imperative. The successful candidate must implement proper rotation and storage of goods, following FIFO procedures, and possess batch cooking experience or have worked in high-demand restaurant settings.
Pastry Cook:
Prepare: produce a variety of sweet and savory pastries and desserts including cupcakes, cakes, pies, torts, flans, custards, granolas, cookies, pate a choux, cheesecakes, bars and vegan desserts
Bake: ensure pastries and desserts are baked with quality and production goals in mind
Create: mix and measure according to recipe guidelines; handle and manipulate ingredients and product from start to finish, including plating and presentation
Collaborate: enjoy the camaraderie and teamwork in the kitchen and take advantage of opportunities to collaborate on menus and recipe rotations
Safety: maintain a clean and organized workspace. Follow all safety and sanitation procedures within set guidelines from OSHA, HACCP and Department of Public Health and Risk Management – and ensure your team is following guidelines as well
Customer Service: provide the best customer service in a courteous, fast and efficient manner. Accommodate all requests and special needs for guests and Clients.
Corporate baking is preferred. (Bon appetite, Restaurants, catering, commercial companies.)

Work Environment
This position is set in a fast-paced kitchen environment with a high sense of urgency. The kitchen has a moderate to high noise level and exposure to soap and cleaning solutions. Candidates must be comfortable moving between cold freezer environments and normal kitchen temperatures, encountering slippery/uneven surfaces, as well as occasional smoke, steam, and heat in confined spaces. Additionally, candidates should be prepared for temperature variations when handling items from the fridge and freezer
