Veterinary Administrative Assistant

Want to really make a difference in the lives of people and pets in Santa Maria/Orcutt area? We are not like a typical veterinary practice. We have the opportunity to meet and serve our clients at their homes when they or their pets are not able to transport their pet to a veterinary hospital. Because of the growing need for mobile veterinary services, we are in need of filling the following positions:

1. Veterinary Administrative Assistant is in need to help communicate with clients, schedule appointments, and manage inventory. This job requires an individual to have communication, typing, texting and computer skills. Must have experience in the field of veterinary medicine and google maps, in order to effectively communicate with clients about their pets condition and triage messages. This is a part-time position with ability to advance to a full-time office manager for the right individual. The work schedule consists of four to five, 4-6 hour work days. Opportunity may also be available to assist veterinarian on appointments depending on skill and as needed. No night, weekend, or holiday shifts.

2. Veterinary Assistant and/or Registered Veterinary Technician- Part time position available to assist the doctor 1-3 days per week on appointments on the mobile truck and with a veterinary assistant at clients homes as tech appointments. This is a position with a potential flexible schedule depending on the applicants experience and hours available.

Applicants must be dependable, flexible, a multi-tasker, have integrity, good work ethic, and the ability to lift 50 pounds.
