Our systems engineers have a deep technical understanding of cybersecurity products, integrations, and critical cyber threats facing our potential customer’s environments.We need these technical guides to work with our sales teams, providing training and technical support. You build trust with our clients and teams, establishing strong rapport as a trusted advisor, and build an environment where our clients feel (and are) secure. Additionally, you'll be called upon to offer feedback to our product management team on new feature requests and product improvements based on what you learn from your customer base.Preferred location: West CoastYour ImpactEstablish yourself as a trusted advisor to prospects and customers working with your Account Managers and the local partners within your territory

Lead conversations about industry trends and emerging changes to the security landscape that every customer needs to be aware of

Identify and document specific problems with prospective and current customers that can be solved by deploying integrated solutions

Architect and propose validated solutions that address the identified cybersecurity problems in each environment

Ensure ongoing customer happiness, support, and adoption

Effectively lead and support customer demonstrations with our System Engineers that showcase our value

Interact locally and remotely with customers in an equally persuasive, confident manner

Assist with the training of new System Engineers in their designated region in installs customer presentations and internally-focused deal preparation activities

Provide technical demos for strategic prospects and current accounts of Palo Alto Networks virtual offerings and integration in existing datacenter environments

Continuous self-improvement and learning to maintain technical leadership of applicable technologies (datacenter, SDN, public cloud, security, networking, etc.)

Understand and effectively differentiate against our top competitors

Act as the customer advocate for any issues that require technical assistance and follow up with the customer until the issue is resolved

Your ExperienceProven successful experience as a pre-sales technical expert, systems integrator, or equivalent experience

Proven successful experience demonstrating and presenting to large technical audiences in several environments

Proven experience evaluating complex multivariate problems and finding a systematic approach to gain a quick resolution, often under duress

Working knowledge of MITRE tactics and techniques

Experience understanding malware, exploits, operating system structure and behavior

Unix/Linux and Windows OS system administration experience

Working knowledge of endpoint prevention/ protection technologies (EPP and EDR), SIEM, vulnerability management tools, SOC processes and playbooks, and other security technologies both from a technology and a business driver standpoint

Working knowledge of Incident Response; both IR tools and IR workflow process

Working knowledge and understanding of threat intelligence and threat hunting

Scripting experience with a focus on Python and PowerShell is a plus

Travel within the region as needed to maintain strong account standing and healthy team dynamic
