Software Engineer (Cloud Security)

Job Description

As a member of the Cloud Security team at Palo Alto Networks, you will develop our next-generation Security services offerings for Public Clouds. Responsibilities will include designing, integrating and implementing Cloud Security as a Service on different cloud platforms mainly AWS, Azure and GCP.

• You will participate in all phases of the product development cycle, from definition, design, through implementation and test
• Develop functional specifications, assess task requirements and scheduling, and participate in development, debug and support

Qualifications

• Expert Python and/or Go language skills
• Hands on experience developing solutions on different cloud platforms particularly AWS. Azure and GCP is a plus
• Familiarity with different cloud orchestration, cloud services e.g. Load Balancing, VPC etc.
• Hands on experience working on AWS Lambda, PubSub, PrivateLinks, GWLB, Endpoint services.
• Hands on experience on Cloud Monitoring tools for debugging different issues
• Experience designing/building scalable REST API’s
• Experience designing systems with an emphasis on modularity, efficiency and maintainability.
• Experience in full life-cycle software development, implementation, design and overall architecture.
• Experience with cloud-native and distributed architectures
• Basic knowledge in selected network security fields such as stateful firewall, packet processing, TCP stream inspection, network ACL, and HA
• C skills is a plus
• A plus to have knowledge of CI/CD & Dev-Ops tools - advantage
• Knowledge of Virtualization environments is a plus
• Experience with Linux kernel software development Qualifications is a plus
• Knowledge of Kubernetes is a plus
• Ability to work well with a group of senior engineers in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
• Excellent Interpersonal and communication skills
• Minimum 6years of related programming experience required
• BS/MS degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering or equivalent
