Our client, a well-known oil and gas company is hiring for an Oracle Database Administrator to join their database management team located in San Ramon, CA! As an Oracle Database Administrator on this team, you will install, upgrade, patch, backup, and recover assigned Oracle 19c databases for specific database requirements and needs!

This role requires candidates to be local to San Ramon This is a W2 contract to start with the opportunity to extend or convert

Required Skills & Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Oracle 19c experience
  • Experience working on a recent Oracle database upgrade project

What You Will Be Doing:
  • Install, upgrade, patch, backup, and recover assigned Oracle databases as specified by project requirements
  • Setup monitoring and ensure databases adhere to build standards
  • Refresh or migrate data
  • Create database objects
  • Enforce company change control, patch management, and information security standards and procedures
  • Collaborate and consult with DBA teammates on project tasks
  • Provide off-hour and weekend support as needed for the projects
  • Provide proper documentation for knowledge sharing and transition
  • Ability to maintain reliability of the database systems
  • Ability to adhere to company policies and compliance standards
