You are an enviable written and spoken communicator. You can easily manage stakeholders who don’t report directly to you. You proactively learn the product portfolio, key messages with audience segmentation, and create content clarity where none exists. You build an excellent relationship with and are comfortable operating as an extension of the SVP and GM of the business with the engineering and product management leaders. You up-level their voices by building out their messaging platforms. You are the perfect team player to work on a rich, diverse communications team supporting the IBNG executives. If you don’t know the answer, you will dig until you find it. You have big ideas, but you can execute on what’s in front of you. You work well on tight deadlines and don’t let things get to you easily. You have 8-10+ years of communications experience and a bachelor’s degree / master’s degree in English, Journalism or Communications or computer systems, software and architecture. You use that experience to tell clear, understandable, compelling stories.What you will do

Report to the Intent-Based Networking Communications team lead to further the communications mission and be the primary manager for select executives reporting to the SVP

Develop executive level content for keynotes, presentations, all-hands, internal/external comms. Manage calendar and logistics related to participation at Cisco events (i.e. Impact, Cisco Live and Advisory Boards)

Work with marketing and communications leadership to create the platform and cadence for communicating with Cisco executive leadership

Build out the exec communications framework and supporting programs that raise thought leadership and awareness of the company and our people

Capture the voice and tone of our executives across all forms of communications; coach executives on the delivery across all mediums

Develop and deploy the internal messaging that supports the communications goalsYour Experience

8+ years in communications in a fast-paced, tech environment engaging a wide variety of stakeholders and business partners

Proven skills writing for executives as well as developing communication frameworks spanning executive thought leadership and issues management
