Maxar is currently seeking a Software Development Engineer to join our team in Westminster, CO. or San Jose, CA. In this role, you will use your engineering skills to help build spacecraft simulators. Life with Us Your Project: You will design and implement software used in spacecraft simulators. Our spacecraft simulators are used by customers around the world. Our customers include NASA, JPL and many other commercial customers worldwide. - Professional scientific programming, preferable in simulation of spacecraft or other complex system
- Developing software in C or Python
- Debugging and troubleshooting complex systems
- Spacecraft operations, design or testing
- Docker and Kubernetes
- Software-development life-cycle
- Agile methodologies
- Mathematical skills, particularly numerical analysis methods and linear algebra
- Simulink experience
- Understanding of Real-time Operating Systems (RTOS) concepts
- Experience with Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC).
- Ability to learn quickly and multi-task in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment
- Passion to work on space applications
