SUMMARY The IT Program Manager (PM) sought for this position fills a key role within both the Ansys IT Project Management Office (PMO) and IT M&A. The PM must have demonstrated proficiency in program portfolio planning and management, project implementation planning and management, and Agile and Waterfall Methodologies. This position is a key role in the effective delivery of ANSYS acquisition integration projects as part of IT M&A. As a senior member of the PMO technology portfolio. The scope of responsibility will span all areas of the IT PMO with a primary focus on supporting the key strategic IT M&A acquisition portfolio if integration projects. PM responsibilities include actively planning various aspects of the portfolio including harmonizing its project and program components, managing their interdependencies, resource availability, budget allocation and management, and project sequencing to best meet business commitments against our operational constraints. As a core member of the PMO, the position requires IT Program Manager to also be proficient as an Agile Scrum Master, with responsibilities that can include Agile approach planning, promoting and managing Agile processes, leading a scrum team, and facilitating daily scrum meetings. In this role, the PM will work collaboratively with the respective Product Owner, IT Shared Service Leads, and (when applicable) the integration business and third-party partners to develop a backlog, prioritize work, and define a focused sprint plan to deliver the work. The PM will work jointly under the direction of the Director, IT Program Management and the IT Director, Mergers & Acquisitions. The PM will be responsible for contributing to and maintaining any project management methodologies, playbooks, templates, and tools utilized by either organization. RESPONSIBILITIES Accountable to the Director, IT Program Management and the IT Director, Mergers & Acquisitions, and any applicable business sponsors, for schedule, budget, and the quality of all program and project elements. Defines and escalates decisions as necessary to these leads Keeps close, direct contact with IT Business Leaders and business partners to ensure that projects are delivering the expected business outcomes and contribute to strategic decisions. Acts as the communications conduit to sponsors and program/project leadership and steering committee Prepares and conducts periodic status updates and briefings. Maintains all appropriate program and project level progress, issue, and key decision tracking tools Provides overall PM leadership, management, and administration of programs for multiple projects across M&A and other functional areas as assigned Orients, guides, coaches, and motivates assigned project and Scrum teams; assists in driving continuous improvement of the IT M&A and Agile practices Organize and lead Scrum ceremonies for assigned teams: Backlog Grooming, Sprint Planning, daily stand-up, Sprint Review (demo), and Sprint Retrospective Collaborates with business and IT teams to define epics and individual user stories Effectively communicates status to stakeholders Monitors IT M&A delivery metrics Monitors Agile burn-down, sprint capacity, and delivery metrics Sets performance objectives and incorporates feedback from team and organization for continuous improvement MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree A minimum of 3 years of IT program leadership experience - planning, portfolio management, priority setting, and expected results A minimum of 5 years of project manager experience leading cross-functional projects A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Scrum Master or equivalent role within an Agile team Strong understanding of project management methodologies and Agile concepts, processes, practices, procedures and tools Demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to combine attention to detail with big picture perspective Experience leading remote-based global project teams Proficient with project management and Agile tools, preferably Microsoft TFS PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, Engineering or related technical and analytical fields preferred PMP, Six Sigma, Change Management training and certification desired Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Certified Scrum Professional (CSP) or Certified Product Owner (CSPO) - either already obtained or required as part of mandatory onboard training and development plan Experienced leading IT Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, and business integration projects strongly preferred Experience leading major software package implementations strongly preferred (HRIS, CRM, ERP) Able to work independently with minimal supervision Proactively plans for managing and mitigating project risks Demonstrates excellent oral and written communication skills Must be able to think creatively and possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills Proven track record of consistently meeting goals and objectives Experience working with information technology vendors / suppliers Able to communicate technical issues in a non-technical manner to a diverse audience Key role Competencies: Results Oriented, Team Building/Management, Strategic Thinking, Change Management, Influence without Authority, Business Acumen, Problem-Solving, Planning, Communications, Customer Focus, Negotiating, Team Organization, Political Savviness Due to the federally mandated COVID-19 vaccination requirement impacting federal contractors like Ansys, this position requires you to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 prior to your start date.
