Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for an Full Stack Java Developer for a Contract assignment with one of our premier Financial Services clients in San Francisco, CA. Responsibilities :

  • Participate in the design sessions, code reviews, testing, troubleshooting sessions
  • Participate in the Scrum events such as Sprint Planning, System Demo, Daily Stand-up, Pre-Grooming and Grooming sessions, Sprint Planning, Retrospectives
  • Participate in the creation and refinement of the user stories and API/UI feature files in the Gherkin format
  • Develop and commit to the team SRI (Sub-Release Increment) objectives and sprint plans Addressing Production tickets as part of Production Support team on a rotation basis, which could mean late hours at times.
  • The application uses JAVA as the foundation language, as well as Angular, J-Query, Web Services (Restful and SOAP), J2EE and other Object Oriented techniques.
  • Runs on an Oracle RDBMS, with PL-SQL and common database objects (Functions, Procedures, Packages, Triggers, etc.) underneath. XML, JSON, and XBRL are heavily used for file transmissions and data validations.
Required Skills:
  • 6 years of core Java coding skills, including an understanding of optimization, performance ramifications of coding decisions and object-oriented design
  • experience with and working knowledge of Spring, Hibernate
  • 2+ years of experience using Angular
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the tools: DevOps (Jenkins, Maven, Fortify, SonarQube, Nexus), RestAssured (MicroService API Test), Protractor (Frontend Test)
  • Experience with Agile
Preferred Skills:
  • Apache Kafka experience is a plus
