Contract to hire Paralegal

Description Hiring a litigation paralegal for our boutique law firm client in downtown SF. This is not a remote role, so the candidate must be willing to commute to SF. The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of experience but will consider more junior candidates. Prior civil litigation experience is required as well as a paralegal certificate or attestation. Duties:Preparing subpoenas for medical (and other) records and ensuring receipt of the subpoenaed materials;Preparing summaries of medical records, discovery, and deposition testimony;Preparing motions, discovery requests and responses, and pleadings for court filing and service on counsel, including E-filing;Extensive oral and written communication with court clerks, clients, attorneys, and expert witnesses;Daily use of Abacus calendaring system and Timeslips billing programs (We will help you master these); andCoordination and scheduling of meetings, mediations, and litigation deadlinesRequirements 1+ year of litigation experience
