Application Data Architect

What You’ll Do· Work with Product Managers and Application Architects to translate business requirements into datamodels to support new products and features.· Work with Application Architects and Engineers to choose the right data storage technology for theuse case.· Liaise with Product Managers and Data Engineers to design Lakehouse solutions to support reportingand analytics needs.· Discover and model existing data structures using data modeling tools.· Refactor existing data models to improve performance, correctness, and scalability.· Create and refine data dictionary content for new and existing data models using data modeling toolsand/or meta data management tools.· Liase with multiple Engineering teams to ensure timely implementation of new products and featuresin parallel streams.· Liase with Database Operations team to ensure smooth implementation and operation of thedatabases.· Define best practices and processes for Data Architecture in collaboration with Product Management,Engineering and Technical Operations.· Define standards and conventions and evangelize their application across the Technologyorganization.· Work across the organization to support Data Governance and Data Privacy initiatives. Pluses include · An understanding of Data Governance, Data Privacy and Information Security concerns is a big plus. · A working knowledge of database partitioning capabilities a big plus. · Java and JPA development experience is a big plus. · Big Data and/or NoSQL database experience. · Metadata management implementation experience is a plus.
