In this position, you will play a pivotal role in helping to shape our digital portfolio and lead a small staff supporting this work. Primary responsibilities will include:

  • Spearheading the continued development of the SF Fed's social and digital media strategy to further business outcomes, year-over-year.
  • Develop coordinated digital campaigns, utilizing both organic and sponsored tactics alongside internal partners to further their specific business goals.
  • You will lead all aspects of daily social and digital content production, ensuring campaigns are in accordance with the social media brand voice and visual standards.
  • Spearhead, develop, and maintain constructive relationships with internal partners and colleagues.
  • You will lead a small team, and be responsible for staff mentorship and development.
  • Analyze, review, and report on the effectiveness of campaigns and ongoing content. You will use analytics to inform future content decisions.
  • You will run and monitor online communities across all digital accounts, tracking chatter, sentiment, and user engagement.
  • Contribute as a copywriter, editor, and creative producer for owned channels, with end user or target audience in mind.
  • Identify emerging channels and communities for potential partnership opportunities.
  • You will research and activate emerging digital tools, with the goal of growing the Bank's follower base and engagement.
  • Spearhead influencer outreach across multiple digital platforms.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, journalism, English or related field or related experience.
  • Typically requires seven or more years of related experience as specified, preferably at an agency or high visibility organization.
  • Typically requires five or more years of formal management of staff including hiring, development, and coaching.
  • Advanced knowledge of standard methodologies and inner workings of social media platforms, messaging apps, and emerging digital channels. This includes, but is not limited to, Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, Medium, Reddit, Quora, TikTok, YouTube, Clubhouse - both as a marketer and as a user.
  • Strong understanding of digital media consumption and emerging digital trends across different demographics. Ability to articulate how they could map (or not map) to organizational goals.
  • Familiarity with sponsored content and advertising standard methodologies, including paid social, retargeting, and SEM.
  • Working knowledge of analytics and reporting tools.
  • Very detail-oriented with a confirmed ability to coordinate and prioritize projects efficiently to meet tight deadlines.
  • Collaborative spirit with a "standout colleague" mentality. Ability to work with and connect with all levels of an organization.
  • Familiarity with the podcasting ecosystem a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, presentation).
  • U.S. Citizenship or a Holder with the intent to become a U.S. Citizen is required.
